Workshops

On-Site Education is available from MSK Education
The hands-on workshops provide the learner with a systematic and logical approach to the history-taking and physical exam of the musculoskeletal examination of the major joints in the body.
Musculoskeletal medicine is unique, in that it requires hands-on repetition of the various techniques in order to enhance retention of new skills. The hands-on workshops provide ample opportunity for learners to practice the various hand positions required for joint examination in order to facilitate skill acquisition and retention.
The workshops combine the use of the instructional DVD, which is viewed in sections, followed by a practical, hands-on session in order to facilitate the learner’s confidence and competency.

The DVD will be provided to the learners as a take-home resource to review at the office or at home in order to reinforce those skills reviewed or learned in the workshops.

The DVD’s are set up in a textbook format with user-friendly, organized chapter breaks for each joint of the system covered. Within each chapter break, the individual joint exams are broken down into “History”, and “Physical Exam” sections. The “Physical Exam” is further broken down into an organized, yet comprehensive format, which will allow the learner to review as much or as little of the relevant assessment as required at any given time.

The offered workshops are flexible and adaptable, covering anything from a single joint (1.5 hrs) to an entire system of 5 joints (6 hrs).
